More Evidence that Gaming is Good for You

Reported in today’s Herald Sun “PLAY” Section

A Program Officer from the US Office of Navy Research has been talking up the benefits of video games on Pentagon Web Radio and claims video games increase perceptual abilities and short-term memory, allow players to focus for longer and expand their field of vision.

As a result, video game players perform 10 to 20 percent higher than normal people who are non-game players in terms of perceptual and cognitive ability and can process visual information much faster than normal individuals.
